American Century Investments Story Gallery

Founded in 1958, American Century Investments consistently receives high praise for its client and investor services, and has spent nine consecutive years on FORTUNE magazine’s annual list of the “100 Best Companies to Work For”. In honor of its 50th anniversary, American Century asked ESI Design to help them find a powerful way to communicate its story to clients, investors and employees.

American Century’s distinct personality and philosophy inspired ESI to tell the company’s story in the same way that clients experience American Century’s services – through personal interaction. ESI’s design team created an engaging exhibition space where visitors could experience the stories of the people and ideas that shaped this remarkably focused and successful company.

The result of ESI’s vision is the American Century Story Gallery – an interactive experience located at the Kansas City headquarters that chronicles the company’s history and spotlights its dedication to sound investment practices and advice for its clients. Features include video, photos, text graphics and 3D models that introduce visitors to American Century’s history. Company artifacts and archival images are part of the mix, along with media presentations filled with commentary and insight from company executives.

All of these features combine to take visitors on a journey that communicates much more than facts about the company; it connects them to the goals and aspirations of American Century Investments’ most important asset – its clients.
