St. Joe Welcome Home Center

A customer-focused residential sales center that feels like home.
In 2005, the St. Joe Company – one of Florida’s largest real estate operating companies – asked ESI to work with them to enhance customers’ experience during the sales and design processes. St. Joe differentiates itself from more traditional developers through the thought and commitment it gives to making authentic, well-designed communities of distinctive character that enhance the lives of the people who live there.
To build on this foundation, ESI created a new model for the sales center – the Welcome Home Center. Unlike traditional models, which focus on the moment of purchase transaction, the Welcome Home Center invites customers to join in a long-term relationship with St. Joe. ESI’s design solution integrates the previously separate functions of sales, design, and community-building into one setting to support the customer relationship.
To strengthen the company–customer bond at every point of engagement, ESI produced a series of flexible physical spaces and an integrated suite of innovative media tools that communicate St. Joe’s philosophy and support the sales, design and community programs.
While each Welcome Home Center reflects the local St. Joe community, it contains five consistent physical zones: the Welcome reception area for introduction to the community; a relaxed Great Room for conversations and sales interactions; a Kitchen Table to have a private discussion about a sales transaction; a Studio work-space for customers to work collaboratively with design coordinators to create their dream home; and a Den for community gatherings and Art of Living events.
