Cool home-like environments empower customers to experience the benefits of current and future offerings.
Time Warner, the global media and entertainment giant, engaged ESI to develop an innovative experience to showcase their latest digital products and properties in a temporary exhibit at Time Warner Center, their New York headquarters.
ESI’s exhibit takes visitors Home to the Future where they can interact with new product and service offerings. In essence, the exhibit is a physical demonstration of Time Warner Cable’s “The Power of You” campaign, empowering customers to experience the benefits of new and future technologies that they can incorporate into their homes and lives.
Home to the Future is housed within a luminescent, four-story fabric cube – beautifully integrated within the architecture of Time Warner Center – and visible to all from blocks away as they approach the mall along the southern border of Central Park. The structure houses multiple LCD screens displaying dynamic videos about Time Warner Cable products and services. Surrounding the shell are home-like installations, featuring the familiar context of the family room, kitchen and bedroom. Each installation demonstrates the benefits and joys of integrating new technologies and services into one’s daily routine.
Around the perimeter of the Home to the Future installation, content is served up at media bars, where visitors connect with the latest sports, pop culture, gossip and world news with Time Warner’s media channels.
A touring exhibit experience highlights the benefits of a digitally integrated home.
ESI’s award-winning “Home to the Future” event for Time Warner Cable—a branded, month-long experience in New York’s iconic Time Warner Center—reached over one million people and received nationwide media coverage. Following the overwhelming success of the original design, Time Warner challenged ESI to creatively convert the Home to the Future experience into a mobile exhibit to reach customers in major U.S. markets.
ESI designed a mobile Home to the Future with trompe l’oeil interiors and cutting-edge technology to create home-like “kitchen”, “living room” and “bedroom” environments that invited visitors to interact with new and emerging digital technologies. The Home to the Future mobile experience toured local U.S. markets throughout 2008.
